Below-ground & civils

Groundworks & Civil Engineering

Groundworks are where a project is won or lost, and they are the discipline we are known for. We self-deliver the full below-ground package — clearing and reducing a site through to the drainage, foundations and reinforced substructure that everything above depends on. Setting-out is checked against the engineer's drawings, levels are held, and the ground is handed over ready for the frame or superstructure to follow. Where a scheme touches the public highway, we handle the associated civils works too.

  • Site clearance, reduced-level dig and muck-away
  • Foul and surface-water drainage, connections and attenuation
  • Strip, trench-fill and pad foundations, piling caps and footings
  • RC substructures and ground-bearing slabs

Concrete & structure

Reinforced Concrete & Structural Works

Beyond the substructure, we form the concrete and structural elements that carry a building. That covers in-situ reinforced concrete frames and slabs, retaining and basement structures, and the underpinning and structural repair needed to stabilise or extend an existing property. Formwork, reinforcement and pours are planned and sequenced with the right temporary works, so loads are always properly supported and what stays in place is never put at risk.

Enabling & clearance

Demolition & Site Preparation

Before new work can start, the site has to be cleared safely and responsibly. We handle soft-strip and structural demolition, the disconnection of old services, and the grubbing-up of redundant foundations and slabs. Material is segregated and removed for recycling wherever possible, and interfaces with neighbours, party walls and dust are all actively managed. The ground is handed over clean, level and ready to build.

Refurbishment & Fit-Out

We take tired or unfit space and bring it back into use, working across both commercial premises and homes. Projects run from full strip-out and structural or fabric repair through to partitions, joinery, finishes and the coordination of mechanical and electrical trades so everything lands together and works on day one. Older and period properties are handled sympathetically, matching materials and detail so repairs sit comfortably with what stays.

Extensions & New Build

For clients adding space or building from scratch, we manage the whole job from foundations to a finished, watertight structure. Single and double-storey extensions, garage conversions, outbuildings and complete new builds are delivered as one continuous package, so there is no gap between the groundworks, the structure and the trades that finish it. The result is designed to blend with — or stand confidently alongside — the existing property.

Finished ground works

Hard Landscaping & External Works

The ground around a building deserves the same care as the structure itself. We form driveways, patios, paths and parking areas, install boundary and retaining features, and put in the levels and drainage that keep them serviceable for years. External works are set out to fall correctly and finished to a standard that matches the build behind them.
